FAQ on Writing:

Q. "Where do you get your ideas?"

W. They start it, so I am not accountable for their actions.

Actually, there's just no way of knowing where they come from. You either deal with it and write it down or face the consequenes. Writers can't pick-and-choose their forte. Most are just happy to write, period.

Q. "Are you morbid?"

W. Without question or remorse. Naturally, that is a deceiving assumption, but I think horror writers are probably the happiest and most settled people in life.

Q. "What's the easiest way to get published?"

W. "That's a contradiction in terms. There is no easy way for anything that's worthwhile.

The easiest way is to self-publish. Otherwise, adjust your literary armor and prepare for an uphill battle.

Q. "Would you like to be the next Stephen King?"

W. "When I was a teen, yes. Now, absolutely not. Seeing as how I haven't quite gotten 'there' at this time, I justI want to be me. I think that's a stage every early writer goes through. You get over it in time.

Q. "How fast can you type?"

W. "About 120-150 wpm when I get into it."
